pollen drift
My photographic practice engages with the layered ecologies - biological, atmospheric, and cultural. Primarily working across the traditional lands of the Wadawurrung, Dja Dja Wurrung, Wotjobaluk and Jaadwa peoples, I observe natural systems as active participants in deep time. Light, heat, water, and matter are not merely background elements but agents within living systems of relation. The camera becomes a means to register signs of ecological exchange: leaf-fall, fire scars, pollen drift, shifting light. These are quiet indicators of life in process, both material and spiritual. Guided by phenomenology and an ethic of respect.
