within sight
In this series titled Within Sight, I examine the subtle interactions and ephemeral states that define natural environments. The series arises from a practice of close looking, moving slowly through the landscape, attentive to fleeting events. The images record moments where biological, geological, and atmospheric forces intersect: light refracted across a wet surface, the imprint of erosion, the quiet advance of vegetation into bare ground, an interplay of structure and ephemerality. Through walking and waiting, I’ve sought to meet the environment without force, attentive to its quiet insistence. My aim is to see our environments as dynamic, vulnerable, worthy of close study and a reminder that what lies within sight is always in flux.
